The properties department relied on his expertise for supplying super solutions and to advise them on big bubble making contraptions as well as to directly assist the on-screen human talent toward forming bubbles from everyday objects in a safe and effective manner. Don't Burst The BubbleWhen Bailey's Irish Cream (Parent company "Diageo of North America") needed soap bubbles to perform on cue for a commercial about drinking responsibly ("Don't Burst The Bubble") who did they call? Casey Carle. Casey devised one of a kind techniques and custom mixes of lighter-than-air gases for guiding a soap bubble in and above club dancers, over flaming candles, into and out of a ceiling fan, through a narrow doorway and into and out of the hand of a passenger in a taxi cab. Techniques that impressed 2-time Oscar winning Cinematographer Janusz Kaminski and Director Kathryn Bigelow (who a few years later earned Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Picture for "The Hurt Locker". How's about them apples, er, bubbles!) |

Ladies & gentlemen, children of all ages! In the center ring...Waaaaaay back in the late 1980s Casey was a professional clown with the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. There he explored a talent for developing top-notch forms of comedic entertainment. After less than a year of learning the ropes, Casey created and co-created comedic routines , four of which were chosen to be part of Ringling's next 2-year national tour; a rare achievement for a novice circus performer. One of these routines was a one-of-a-kind soap bubble act that earned him a "center ring" performance slot and a place in history as the first circus entertainer in the world ever to encase people in a bubble. |
